Abstract

Libraries as learning resources and information providers have an important role in increasing students' reading interest. This research aims to determine the policy, and analyze the implementation of the policy, analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of library service policies in increasing student interest in reading at SMA Negeri 1 Tegalombo. Using a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Collecting data through participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's interactive technique which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the library service policies by the principal include library promotion, collaboration, reading time, reading corner, and online library policy (Inside lan). The implementation of library promotion policies with methods and methods that can attract student visits, cooperation policies are carried out with teachers, reading corner policies by providing reading room facilities in classroom corners and several school corners, Reading Time policy making reading hours mandatory before lessons, inside lan policies with provide online library information. Internal supporting factors are the principal's policy on library services, the availability of library space, and the availability of digital library services. While the inhibiting factor in the form of a library development budget that has not been maximized.
